Hello friends and family!
Carson and I are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our precious little girl, Madeline Reese Parrish. (I had to stop and pause for a minute to look at her name. That is the first time I've written her whole name out and really looked at it. Wow!). It's a little scary to think we are about to become her parents but everyone seems to tell us that you just make the transition naturally, so we're just praying that we can do the job and do it well.
I decided that I would start this little blog to send pics and updates to friends and family that live far away. (Thanks for the inspiration, Summer!)
My due date is Aug.10 and Madeline and I are doing well. Carson is working hard for the Farmer's Branch Police Dept. as a patrol officer and really enjoying what he's doing. The Lord has blessed us by allowing me to take a year off from teaching to stay at home with the baby. Of course, the budget is going to have a substantial cut but I'm thankful to have the opportunity to be a stay at home mom for a while.
We'll be in touch soon when our little sweet pea arrives!

Love the blog-you'll have so much fun keeping up with it! I'm so excited for Maddie to get here. Ha. When I was typing Maddie, I automatically typed Maggie on accident. This is going to be tricky! Glad you had a great doctor's visit and she's growing so well. Remember, no babies between August 2 and 9. Love you! Summer
